Background
The Australasian Railway Association will be hosting the International Heavy Haul Association Conference in 2027, taking place in Perth, Australia. To begin promoting the event early, ARA required a dedicated conference website that could be launched quickly. The goal was to have the website ready to announce at a major industry conference they were attending.
Because many event details are still being finalised, the website needed to provide an initial foundation that can be expanded over the next 18 months as speakers, venues, program information and sponsors are confirmed.
Engagement and Approach
ARA engaged OSKY to design and build a clean and professional conference website that could be delivered within a short timeframe. The focus was on creating a digital presence that communicates credibility and generates early interest, while also giving ARA a flexible platform that can grow as the event develops.
OSKY collaborated closely with ARA to understand the messaging and early content priorities. The design was kept visually strong and aligned with the IHHA brand to ensure a cohesive experience for international audiences.
Solution
OSKY developed a high quality promotional landing site that includes:
- A clear introduction to the IHHA 2027 Conference
- Visual elements aligned with IHHA identity
- Space for future program, speaker and sponsor updates
- A scalable structure that allows new pages and content to be added easily
- A CMS that ARA can update independently as event information becomes available
The design balances professionalism with flexibility, ensuring the site can evolve into a full conference hub as the event draws closer.
Results and Benefits
The new website enabled ARA to:
- Announce the IHHA 2027 Conference confidently at their industry event
- Begin building visibility for the Perth conference well ahead of time
- Provide a central point of information for future registrations and updates
- Expand content over the next 18 months without additional rework
The site establishes a strong digital foundation for one of the most important heavy haul rail events in the world.
