Phu Bia Mining, a key subsidiary of PanAust Limited, is integral to the company’s copper and gold production in Laos. While PanAust already had a well-established WordPress website, Phu Bia Mining required its own distinct online presence to reflect its unique operations while maintaining consistency with PanAust’s corporate identity.

PanAust engaged OSKY to develop a dedicated website for Phu Bia Mining that would align with the parent company’s branding and structure. The website needed to address specific content and functionality tailored to Phu Bia Mining’s audience, while also incorporating features to highlight the company’s cutting-edge technology and commitment to safety. The multilingual environment in which Phu Bia Mining operates also required the inclusion of a language switcher to cater to both English and Lao-speaking users.

OSKY’s goal was to efficiently create a robust, user-friendly, and visually aligned website for Phu Bia Mining by using the existing template built for PanAust. Our approach involved the following steps:

1. Template Duplication: To ensure consistency in branding and design while minimising development time, we duplicated the successful WordPress template developed for PanAust and customised it to meet Phu Bia Mining’s specific requirements.
2. Custom Content Adjustments: We adapted the template to include additional content blocks that highlighted Phu Bia Mining’s operations, achievements, and community engagement. This allowed us to create a distinct yet brand-aligned website that catered specifically to Phu Bia Mining’s audience.
3. Video Integration: To further enhance the website and showcase Phu Bia Mining’s engineering technology, safety measures, and operational efficiency, we incorporated a streaming video loop. This allows users to engage with dynamic content that demonstrates the company’s commitment to innovative practices and safety standards in mining.
4. Language Switcher Implementation:  Operating in a multilingual region, Phu Bia Mining required the website to be accessible in both English and Lao. We integrated a language switcher, enabling users to toggle between languages effortlessly and improving overall engagement with local stakeholders.
5. Gutenberg Customisation: To empower Phu Bia Mining’s internal team, we customised WordPress’s native Gutenberg page builder, enabling site administrators to easily update content while maintaining design consistency. This provided Phu Bia Mining with long-term flexibility and control over their site.

The new Phu Bia Mining website was launched successfully, offering the company a strong digital platform that aligns with PanAust’s corporate identity while showcasing Phu Bia Mining’s cutting-edge technology and commitment to safety and efficiency.
