ATODA is a leading community organisation in Canberra, dedicated to reducing harm related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. With a mission to create a safer, healthier ACT community, ATODA seeks to minimise the adverse effects of substance abuse through treatment and harm reduction efforts.

Engagement and Approach

OSKY was brought on board in 2022 to partner with ATODA on improving their web based Services Directory. The refresh of their main website in 2023 was a continuation of this successful partnership and the scope of this project was to bring it into alignment with ATODA’s mission and to create a more engaging user experience.

Challenge and Solution

  • In early 2023, ATODA recognised the need to transform their online presence to better serve their audience. Their existing website was text-heavy, visually unappealing, and lacked an intuitive user experience. The organisation sought a solution that would not only make information accessible for ATODA workers but also be user-friendly for the general public.

  • WordPress CMS Integration: OSKY powered the website with a WordPress CMS, empowering ATODA's team to easily edit and update website content without the need for technical expertise.
  • Mobile Responsiveness: Recognising the increasing importance of mobile browsing, the website was designed to be responsive on mobile devices, accommodating users on-the-go.
  • Ensuring Accessibility: The website was created in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA standards, guaranteeing a seamless and inclusive content experience for all users, including those with disabilities.
